About SAMA Autisme Centrum:

SAMA Autisme Centrum was founded in the spring of 2024 in Amstelveen and aims to treat and guide children between the ages of 3 and 12 with autisme and/ or related disorders. Our centrum stands for excellent care and innovation, in which we believe in a broad approach that pays attention to the potential of each child.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for enthousiastic interns with:

• A study background in psychology, pedagogy or a comparable direction on MBO level;

• Passion for healthcare and supporting children with autism and/ or related disorders;

• Minimal Dutch level of A2/B1;

• A proactive stance and good communication skills;

  
  

Als stagiair(e) bij SAMA Autisme Centrum leer/krijg je:

• Practical Support in Daily Activities
  Interns assist children during structured activities and daily routines. They help create a calm, predictable environment that supports children with autism and support individual children with simple, practical tasks as instructed by therapists or behaviour specialists.

  
  

• Basic Observation & Reporting
  Interns observe children’s engagement, behaviour, and responses during activities and report observations clearly to supervisors so they can be used in treatment planning. They follow established behavioural plans or routines as guided by the team.

  
  

• Communication & Interaction
  Interns build warm, supportive, and autism-sensitive interactions with children. They practice clear communication with colleagues and parents, such as short updates, and participate in small conversations or transitions under supervision.

  
  

• Collaboration & Following Guidance
  Interns support therapists, psychologists, and behavioural specialists in group and individual activities. They follow instructions carefully, check in regularly for feedback, and participate in team routines such as preparing materials or setting up activities.

  
  

• Professional Attitude & Growth
  Interns show reliability, responsibility, and awareness of boundaries when working with a vulnerable target group. They reflect on personal development, learn to recognize what support they need, and strengthen work discipline and consistency in professional behaviour.

• Compensation:

  An internship compension following the CAO disability care, € 500,- Een stagevergoeding in overleg volgens CAO gehandicaptenzorg € 500,- at a 36 hour work week.
