About SAMA Autisme Centrum:

SAMA Autisme Centrum was founded in the spring of 2024 in Amstelveen and aims to treat and guide children between the ages of 3 and 12 with autisme and/ or related disorders. Our centrum stands for excellent care and innovation, in which we believe in a broad approach that pays attention to the potential of each child.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for enthousiastic interns with:

• A study background in psychology, pedagogy or a comparable direction on HBO level;

• Passion for healthcare and supporting children with autism and/ or related disorders;

• Minimal Dutch level of A2/B1;

• A proactive stance and good communication skills;

  
  

Als stagiair(e) bij SAMA Autisme Centrum leer/krijg je:

• Treatment & Support
  You will participate in planning and carrying out structured support activities for children with autism. Besides that you will apply behavioural or pedagogical strategies, such as visual support, prompting, or reinforcement, in daily sessions. Interns help implement individualized support or treatment goals under supervision and support monitoring of progress.

• Diagnostics & Observation
  Interns conduct structured observations and document behaviour patterns objectively. You will assist with simple questionnaires or screening instruments used to guide treatment and contribute observational information for behavioural or developmental assessments.

• Communication
  Interns communicate professionally with children, parents, and colleagues in a sensitive and clear manner. You will participate in team meetings and practice presenting observations or small cases. As intern you may co-lead or support psychoeducational or activity-based sessions when appropriate.

• Collaboration & Teamwork
  Interns work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, behaviour specialists, and therapists. You will coördinate daily tasks and share relevant information with colleagues, taking initiative in preparing materials, supporting projects, or organizing activities.

• Professional & Personal Development
  Interns develop confidence and independence in working within a behavioural healthcare environment. You will reflect on strengths, challenges, and learning needs, integrating feedback into practice. Time-management and planning skills are strengthened by balancing tasks and learning goals.

• Compensation:

  An internship compension following the CAO disability care, € 500,- Een stagevergoeding in overleg volgens CAO gehandicaptenzorg € 500,- at a 36 hour work week.
