Are you looking for a new challenge?

We, SAMA Autism Center, are a new organization to be founded and are looking for adventurers just like us. SAMA Autism Center treats and supports children from 3 to 12 years old with autism and related disorders. The center will open its doors in Amstelveen in the spring of 2024.

Do you want to be part of a dynamic team committed to excellent care and innovation? Do you want to be involved in all developments of SAMA Autism Center from the start and participate in its implementation? Then this is your chance!

As an Autism Specialist, you will be essential in providing specialized care to children aged 3-6 and 7-12. You will have the opportunity to offer a combination of individual and group therapy, where we believe in a broad approach that pays attention to the possibilities of each child.

We immediately look for psychologists, remedial educationalists, pedagogical staff, and nurse specialists for at least 24 to 36 hours a week. You can choose a working week of 3 to 5 days.

What are you going to do?

You are responsible for a group of 6 children with a direct colleague. Together, you offer both group and individual treatment. You don't just write the treatment plans; you also implement them. You give advice and support to parents/guardians. You will work with external and internal colleagues to ensure quality care. You prepare the treatment activities every day and ensure that they are ready every day. You also make sure that the group room is completely prepared and tidy for the next day.

You are never alone and supported by colleagues and other disciplines.

Who are you?

A moment of happiness is just around the corner: a snapshot, facial expression, or sudden openness. Structure makes you enthusiastic. Applying regularity and small successes in the development of each child gives you a good feeling. That, combined with reasonable care, gives you energy as a practitioner.

What are your tasks:

  • You treat and supervise children with autism between the ages of 3 and 12;

  • You draw up treatment plans;

  • You monitor the progress of the treatment and adjust goals if necessary;

  • You provide parent training;

  • You contribute to a pleasant environment for our students and colleagues.

What you'll need:

  • A completed HBO or WO bachelor's degree specializing in psychology, pedagogy, or nursing.

  • Passion for the care and support of children with autism and related disorders;

  • You can submit a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

  • A solid commitment to the mission and vision of SAMA Autism Center and a willingness to contribute to its realization;

  • You need to speak at least Dutch level A2.

This is what you get from us:

At SAMA Autism Center, we encourage you to be the best you can be, not only for you but especially for others. To achieve this, it is essential that you feel good about yourself. Our work is demanding, but you can have a positive impact by feeling good about yourself. Feel welcome to embark on the adventure and make a difference with us!
